ONE TREE PLANTED
Nature has been our greatest inspiration here at FARM Rio for the past 25 years. We believe it is part of our duty to help protect nature and give back to the environment. This is why we have partnered with One Tree Planted to aid in reforestation efforts in all Brazilian biomes: the Amazon rainforest - the largest rainforest in the world and our home -, the Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado, Pampa & Pantanal. For each purchase on our website, in our stores, and at other authorized retailers*, we donate the dollar amount equivalent to one tree to be planted. Since 2020, we've made a bigger step, planting even more trees through reforestation projects in partnership with FARM Brazil.
THE PROJECT
We support various reforestation projects in the Amazon rainforest, the Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado, Pampa and Pantanal, all of which we donate trees to through One Tree Planted and local partners such as @sosmataatlantica, @retiro.yawanawa, @idesam, @assobioflorestasnativas, @anjosdosertaoo, @tedescoecopark , @renature, and @institutoipe. FAQ
How do you determine what number of trees to donate?
For each purchase made in stores, online and at other retailers, we donate the dollar amount equivalent to one tree to be planted. Orders in which full returns are made do not count as a purchase.
What if a tree does not survive after planting?
The numbers we are sharing are based on the number of seedlings that were planted (or are to be planted in the upcoming planting season). Ensuring the survival and development of these seedlings is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the rural owners and farmers involved in theses project.
What is your tree donation initiative for wholesale partners?
For every 3 pieces ordered through our wholesale channel, we donated one tree to be planted.
How do I know where my tree will be planted?
Every year we select new projects to support in partenership with One Tree Planted, as listed above. Your tree will be planted in one of the areas designed in each project, depending on the timing and status of funding.
When will my trees be planted?
The time between your donation and the actual tree planting will vary depending on the region you have chosen and the time of year. Planting usually happens during the rainy season, when the soil provides optimum conditions for tree survival.
